How many alarms will I need?
We've summarised a handy guide below to help you determine how many alarms you may need to install and/or upgrade for your booking.
Please use this as a guide only, upon inspection our installers can confirm and advise you on the 2022 compliance requirements.
Single storey
If you have a single storey home with 1-3 bedrooms, its likely you have only a single corridor leading to your bedrooms. At least 4 alarms is required in the new legislation.
You'll need at least 4 smoke alarms.
Double Storey
If you have a double storey home with 1-3 bedrooms, you'll need one downstairs and in the corridor leading to the bedrooms.
4-5 alarms is required in the new legislation.
You'll need 4-5 smoke alarms.
